Description



Bulk up on a popular coin series, with this 1916-1945 Mercury silver dime lot of (560+). One of the more interesting designs in the history of U.S. coinage, this well appointed series is a true collector favorite. Actually a depiction of "Lady Liberty", this ten cent coin got its "Mercury Head" nickname thanks to the winged cap Miss Liberty is seen wearing on the obverse, resembling the Roman messenger god. A partial set of (61/77) is housed is a blue Whitman folder, with several examples from the 1937-1945 date range presenting in better grades, though overall this large accumulation ranges in average circulated grades of (GD to VF), with a few better and a few lesser.
