Description



Very difficult 1951 Hage's Dairy PCL partial master set of (29) different cards including (8) tougher Cleveland/Hollywood team cards. According to the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, "the cards were distributed inside popcorn boxes at the concession stand in Lane Field Park, home of the P.C.L. San Diego Padres." This hit parade has an overall condition breakdown of 31% (VG to EX), 10% (GD) and 59% (FR or lesser) with 52% displaying paper loss/residue, tape, trimming and/or writing. Due to rudimentary factory printing techniques, size variances are present. Includes:

 

Blue: Wietelman (Batting);

 

Burgundy: (6 cards) with Handley, Jurisich, Kerr (Catching), Malberg (Bunting), Tobin, Wheat;

 

Gold: (4 cards) with S. Jones (Pitching, Hands Back), Kerr (Batting), Sandlock, Welmaker;

 

Gray: (4 cards) with Malmberg (Bunting), Rowell, Storey (Batting Stance), Wade;
