Description

The "Impossible Dream" was sweet while it lasted, but the hopes of the "Red Sox Nation" were dashed in the 1967 World Series at the hands of the pitching rich St. Louis Cardinals, and just maybe the "Curse of the Bambino". Recall the "Redbirds" triumph, with this 1967 St. Louis Cardinals World Champions black bat. This prized commemorative has held up nicely since its creation more than fifty years ago, with just light traces of wear evident. The surface retains pleasing gloss and the gold team facsimile signatures show off nicely. Chief among those named are 1967 WS MVP Bob Gibson, fellow Hall of Famers Steve Carlton, Orlando Cepeda, "Red" Schoendienst and Lou Brock. Also featured are fan favorites Roger Maris, Tim McCarver, Curt Flood and the rest of this memorable Cardinals championship team.
