The offered 1888 Goodwin Champions N162 Cap Anson is a sterling representation of one of the most controversial figures of the early game. Appropriately graded a "10" by SGC, this attractive relic features period characteristics of the early game and is accentuated by a luminescent multi-colored backdrop. A surface abrasion on the tobacco advertisement and moderate paper loss on the reverse accounts for the technical grade. Despite those flaws the display quality of this keepsake is undeniable. The splendor of nineteenth century Hall of Fame material is difficult to parallel, with Anson pieces at the top of the list.
