Presented are more personal items once owned by major leaguer Walter “Boom Boom” Beck. The collection contains (21) photographs, mostly black and white, plus a signed baseball, two lifetime passes and a 1934 Diamond Matchbook (EX). Included are two metallic lifetime passes of Beck’s, one from the Association of Professional Ball Players of America (NM-MT) and the second from the Major Leagues of Professional Baseball (VG-EX), an 8x10 Al Lopez signed photo (inscribed to Walter, “7”), ONL Giles baseball (“8”) signed by Beck (d.1987) and personalized to Wilma, a 5x7 George Burke photograph of Beck (VG-EX), a 1945 wooden cut-out of Beck, (4) 8x10 wire photos from Beck’s playing days, (4) 8x10 photos as a coach for the Braves, (4) small photographs including a 1940 image of a player being carried off the field, a 1965 newspaper clipping of Beck with Roger Staubach and a signed photograph to coach Beck from Henry Dworshak. The two best photographs are from 1932-33, including a 6x8 wire photo of Beck with Dizzy Dean and a second wire photo of Beck with Pepper Martin.
