The offered Boog Powell Louisville Slugger must have been his favorite weapon of choice during the 1963 and 1964 season because there are heavy signs of game usage. This Hillerich and Bradsby Powell signature model weighs 34.1 ounces, is 34-7/8” long and displays pine tar residue on the lower 18” of the stick. According to Mears, this lumber is unaltered and displays a 2” crack on the handle, cleat marks, bat rack marks and ball marks. Powell’s number #26 is on the handle, dating this relic between 1963 when he started wearing that jersey number, and 1964 when Powell began using a different model bat. Graded: MEARS A8.
