Description

Offered are (10) 1930s celluloid college football 8 dolls with 1-1/4 pins. These dolls were made in Japan before World War II and are marked as such on the back of the neck. The dolls feature a plastic face, helmet, hands, feet, and football. The uniform is cloth and stuffed with sawdust. Other than the included pins, these dolls are without any other player or school identification. Included schools are Army (FR, crushed plastic football and back of head, pin VG-EX), Clemson (EX-MT with minor uniform soiling, pin NM), Duke (GD-VG with moderate uniform soiling and fraying, pin EX-MT), Furman (EX, minor uniform toning and soiling, pin EX-MT), Memphis State (EX-MT with minor facial marking, pin NM), Michigan State (FR with helmet crack on back and minor sleeve fraying, pin NM), Ole Miss (GD with marked belt and collar and frayed foot, pin EX-MT), Navy (EX, slightly dented football, pin NM), Texas (GD with moderately concaved face, pin EX with NM ribbon) and Tulane (FR-GD with moderate uniform soiling and fraying with marked collar and slightly nicked face, pin NM with factory hang-tag).
