Hailing from the apex of the Western movie genre, the amassed collection features seven different movie one-sheet posters from the 1940s. Displaying vibrant colors and legible text throughout, the one-sheets measure the standard 27x41 and display incredibly well. Considering their age and sensitive nature, these displays have survived well, exhibiting only minor toning, corner wear and virtually inevitable small edge tears and factory folds. It should be noted that three examples will show small tape-repair marks on the reverse, including Firebrands of Arizona (1944), The Oregon Trail (1945) and Colorado Serenade (1946). The remaining one-sheets show no alterations and consist of King of the Golden West (1942) starring Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes, Great Stagecoach Robbery (1945) starring Wild Bill Elliott, Courtin' Trouble (1948) and Crashing Thru (1949). Highlighted by the "King of Cowboys" in Roy Rogers, this magnificent one-sheet lot will appease the strictest of Western collectors.
