Description

Presented is a multi-sport memorabilia collection which is headlined by a 1961 Fleer Football uncut sheet and a lengthy Los Angeles banner. Included are 1.) 1961 Fleer Football uncut sheet. Although this sheet reveals extensive creasing, tears and staining throughout, there are many key stars that grace this sheet. Included are #155 Kemp, #166 Blanda, #171 Cannon, #180 Flores RC, #197 Otto RC and #220 Youngelman. This sheet totals (88) cards in (8) eleven-card rows. The first two rows, which boast #155 Kemp, #171 Cannon and #180 Flores, are separated from the remainder of the sheet. Each key card is degraded by a combination of the fore mentioned flaws; 2.) A massive Los Angeles banner which perhaps flew over the coliseum. This forked yellow flag measures 113x75 from end to end while the dimensions from the banners edge to the fork measures 93, with the sides being 27 each. The body of this artifact is relatively clean with little staining, while the lettering is intact and readable; 3.) Circa 1970s Go With the Pros NFL replica helmet kit. The 10x2x5 display box is (GD) with tears while the miniature helmets are unused and (NM); 4.) An approximately 12x4x8 Don Carter Bowling Glove display box. This circa 1950s display box is (GD) with creasing, while the folds and edges exhibit stress and have been taped to make the box intact. An unopened period (NM) bowling glove in original packaging is also included; 5.) Two college football programs/scorecards and a boxing publication. A Santa Clara vs. Stanford scorecard dated 9/29/34 (VG) and Princeton vs. Navy program dated 10/12/40 (GD, 38 pg.) represent the gridiron. This eclectic multi-sport lot is completed by a 1972 World Boxing (EX) with Muhammad Ali on the cover.
