For the vintage Senators enthusiast are these (3) very difficult Washington Senators related publications. Included are 1.) Measuring 7 x 10-1/2”, a 1925 Washington Senators World Series dinner program. This dinner was hosted by Fred Buchholz at the Hotel Occidental in September 1925. The 12-page program portrays members of the American League Champion Senators along with a scintillating menu. The front cover is (EX), while the back cover is (GD) with slight paper loss. While the binding is intact, some of the pages including the centerfold are loose. The pages are mostly crisp and clean; 2.) The 8/15/47 Senators vs. Athletics contest honored World War II hero Cecil Travis. This 7x11 scorecard from that date depicts Travis on the blue cover, while his career statistics are displayed on the reverse. This 4-page scorecard is unmarked, while the front and back covers are (VG) with moderate paper wear and aging; 3.) Circa 1950-1953 Mickey Grasso’s Italian Restaurant menu. Touted as the “meeting place for the sporting world”, this 9-1/2 x 12” gatefold menu projects the catcher at the beginning of his career. The green covers are (VG) with moderate spine stress and corner creases.
