As with the baseball sets from the same era, these two Wheaties Football sets were issued on the back of Wheaties cereal boxes. The cards have since been removed from the boxes. Ranging in size from 5 x 5-1/2 to 5-3/4 x 6-3/8, the 1935 Wheaties set features twelve All-Americans from the 1934 team including Barclay (VG-EX), Hartwig (VG-EX), Howell (PR), Hutson (VG-EX), Kostka (GD), Larson (VG), Lee (VG), Maddox (VG), Monahan (FR), Robinson (VG), Shepard (VG) and Warburton (VG-EX). The 1936 Wheaties set of (7) includes football coaches with Bierman (FR), Crowley (VG-EX), Dawson (GD), Kerr (VG), McMillin (VG), Stuhldreher (VG-EX and Waldorf (VG-EX). Although off-grade, most of the cards have a nice visual appeal and receive their technical grades due to some level of back damage.
