The National League East is well represented in this "You Had to be There" lot. Chronologically, the first item is a pin and card set dated to August 23, 1968, commemorating Hank Aaron's 500th Home Run. The pin-backed button is in NM condition and remains attached to the original card (EX-MT) which reads Possession of this card is proof I was there when Hank Aaron hit his 500th home run; pin measures 2-1/4 inches in diameter. Unsigned and unstained, the card and pin were only available on this legendary night at Atlanta Stadium. The back end of this lot is a trio of 1971 Opening Day collectibles from the Philadelphia Phillies, consisting of an unused Opening Day program (EX-MT) and a pair of Opening Day ticket stubs. Though each stub shows a staple mark, they remain more than appealing in otherwise EX to EX-MT condition. Simply a unique grouping of collectibles that could only be obtained by being there. An ideal lot for those who have yet to devise a time machine.
