Description

1933 marked the first year of hockey card production for the O Pee Chee Gum Company of Canada. The presented near set features 40 of the 48 cards produced in the first series, plus (26) additional different color variations, aiding the future owner in completing a "master" set. Many stars and Hall of Famers are included in this off-grade lot including: #1 Cox, #6 Nels Stewart, #8 Dit Clapper, #9 Oliver, (3) #12 Joe Primeau, (3) #13 Ace Bailey, #15 Hainsworth, #18 Chabot, #23 Howie Morenz, (2) #24 Howe, #27 Weiland, (2) #32 Day, (2) #33 Busher Jackson, #35 Cotton, (2) #38 Cook, 39 Ching Johnson, (2) #45 Worters, (3) #46 Leduc and (2) #48 Mondou. Virtually every card falls in the FR to GD/VG range with about 15% possibly trimmed. Not a high-grade lot, but plenty of star power.
