During the beginning of the Cold War, the fight against Communism took Americans by storm as evident with the 1951 Bowman Red Menace set. This colorful yet eerie artistic rendering on the cards was meant to strike fear as much as entertain while the politically motivated narratives on the reverse tell the signs of the time. The set is in mid-to-high grade with 10% NM, 15% EX-MT, 40% EX and 25% VG-EX. Key cards #23 Ghost Cities (NM) and #24 Eisenhower (EX-MT) set the tone for this set. There are (7) cards with the grey backs with the remaining (41) featuring the cream-colored reverses.
