The assembled lot contains a pair of noteworthy collectibles from the Orange Bowl. Chronologically, the first is a 1955 Orange Bowl Champions 10-carat gold ring presented to, and bearing the name of, Tracy Moon. Starring as both a receiver and a defensive end, Moon was a key part of Duke University's team that year, aiding them to an (8-2) record and a 34-7 victory over Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Despite a minor presence of tarnish, this Blue Devil championship ring has survived extremely well. Accompanying the ring is a pair of complete, fully functioning 1966 Orange Bowl sterling silver cuff links showing just varying degrees of minor paint wear. Presented to a member of either the Alabama or Nebraska squads from that season, this official set of cuff links is a nice addition to the lovely 10-carat ring. An ideal grouping for the Bowl Game player-issued collector.
