Offered are five vintage single sheet baseball scorecards from 1878-1891 with a bounty of Hall of Famers present. All of the scorecards have Boston as one of the combatants, and the original owner meticulously scored all. Included are 1878 Boston Red Caps vs. Providence with G. Wright, J. O’Rourke and J.M. Ward; 1880 Boston Red Caps vs. Chicago with O’Rourke Cap Anson and Mike Kelly; 1881 Boston Red Caps vs. Detroit with Ned Hanlon, 1886 Boston Beaneaters vs. New York with O’Rourke, Connor, Ewing and Ward and 1891 Boston Beaneaters vs. Philadelphia with Hamilton, Delehanty, Thompson and Nichols. The scorecards measure 5-1/2 x 7” and are in excellent condition considering the age and heavy usage associated with this medium. Ironically, three of the four cards were produced by George Wright’s bother Harry Wright, who was a famous ball player in his own right.
