Presented is an attractive album sheet featuring seven signatures from the 1933 Philadelphia Athletics including three Hall of Famers. The sheet would have dated from 1930-32 if not for the Bob Johnson pencil signature, as Johnson joined the team in 1933. The 6 x 3-1/2” pink album page has a gorgeous black ink Connie Mack (d.1956, “9”) signature on one side and the remaining six players on the other side. The players’ side of the sheet includes two black ink signatures, Rube Walberg (d.1978, “5”) and Roger Cramer (d.1990, “9”), and four pencil signatures with Bob Johnson (d.1982, “8”), Lefty Grove (d.1975, “8”), Roy Mahaffy (d.1969, “8”) and Jim Foxx (d.1967, “7”). The Foxx signature is quite rare as Foxx usually signed items “Jimmie” instead if Jim. The sheet does have tape in the lower portion and a tape mark on the upper side. COA from James Spence Authentications.
