Even though the city of Baltimore has a Super Bowl contender in the Ravens, many football fans still reminisce about the city's original gridiron team. During the 1950s and 1960s, the Baltimore Colts were a perennial contender, due in part to Johnny Unitas, but not all the praise can be awarded to the HOF quarterback. The team has had many great players and this 28x22 original watercolor is a grand attempt at showing them all. Players include Johnny Unitas to Bert Jones, Weeb Ewbank to Don Shula, Art Donovan to Gino Marchetti, Alan Ameche to Lenny Moore and Raymond Berry to John Mackey. The piece beautifully meshes over forty players and coaches to make a stunning and colorful montage of royal blue and white. Artist Stan Kotzen has signed his artwork in the lower right portion, and it is dated 1994.
