Offered is a pair of stadium seats from two legendary venues which were located, though at different times, but a short drive from each other. Memorial Stadium hosted the Baltimore Orioles from their minor league days of 1949 through the 1991 season, including three World Championships, as well as housing the Colts, Stallions and eventually the Ravens for various years. Griffith Stadium was the home of the beloved Washington Senators from 1911 to 1960, a campaign which included a World Series title and two other appearances. The Redskins and Homestead Greys also called Griffith Stadium their home for three combined decades. Both of these wall-mounted seats have survived well and have been attached to metal bases allowing both to stand freely. Featuring customized nameplates on each, these wooden and metal seats feature original markers and minimal oxidation. The Memorial Stadium example has had a coat of gray paint added above the original green, while the Griffith example appears to feature the original color, though it is evident that it was touched up at one point or another. With no cracked rungs or other significant imperfections, these pair of classic stadium seats act as both practical pieces and incredible displays. A truly unique lot for the fan of this classic Beltway Battle. Due to the weight of this lot shipping will be substantial; local pick-up is encouraged.
