Original Hartland statues are among the most sought after non-card collectibles in the industry and locating one that comes with an original intact box is an exceptional find. Offered is an original 1958-1962 Roger Maris statue with the original box, advertising sheet and bat. Released as part of the "Original 18" by Wisconsin's Hartland Plastics, the Roger Maris statue is one of the four Yankees produced in the early years. Measuring 7-1/4" in height, this figurine is carefully crafted into an incredible likeness of the hulking slugger and is accompanied by the original box (NM) and a flawless bat. This incredibly clean statue is virtually free of scuffing and other markings with nary a rubbing, scuff or marking on the delicate skin areas. The box is absolutely beautiful, with a crisp and clean appearance but there is a 1-inch tear on the edge of the top flap. The original advertising sheet is also in high grade. It has the normal folds and displays several of the Hartland cowboys and horses and images of the Johnny Unitas and Jon Arnett statues. As a rule of thumb, Hartland statues often are difficult to stand; however, this defect is not found in this preeminent piece of a Bronx Bomber.
