This vintage coin-operated machine once dispensed cards from the 1957 Topps baseball series to eager children looking to get a piece of gum; now it is an outstanding collectible itself. Its blazing red color and appearance are not affected by the moderate scrapes and paint chips along the top and outermost edges of this machine. The inner decal is original and affixed to the moderately scuffed center glass, which displays the "1 cent" price. There are several scrapes along the lower face of the machine, and stamped next to its center steel knob on the front is, “Premiere Gum and Card Vendor, Mfg by Oak Mfg Co Inc California”. The vending machine comes with a working key, two 1957 Topps cards (Bell and Sturdivant) and measures 12x13. With two loose original pieces it cannot be ascertained if this machine will reach full working order. However, there is enough here which could possibly allow for a "fix it yourself" project. Regardless, it is a tangible representation of the historic connection between sports cards and Americana.
