Description

Presented is a 1924 Chicago White Sox team signed baseball with (23) signatures including an amazing seven Hall of Famers and two men that would later join the legendary 1927 Yankees. Three Hall of Famers Eddie Collins, Johnny Evers and Ed Walsh, managed this particular team, though even with all the HOF talent, this team was unable to cross the .500 barrier. Penned in blue ink on a period blue-and-red stitch OAL Johnson baseball, most of these signatures fall in the (7-8) range. Included are Sweet Spot: E. Collins (d.1951 8); West Panel: Faber (d.1976, 6), Walsh (d.1959, 7), Hooper (d.1974); East Panel: Grabowski (d.1946, 6, 1927 Yankee), Dobbs (d.1934), Schalk (d.1970, 7); North Panel: Evers (d.1947, 8), Morehart (d.1989, 7, 1927 Yankee), Lyons (d.1986, 7) and South Panel: Falk (d.1989). The ball (7) reveals various faint markings and abrasions which minimally effect the presentation of Kamm, Grabowski and Hooper. This stellar piece comes with a COA from James Spence Authentications.
