Whether he was viewed as the great commander of the Union Army during the Civil War or the 18th President of the United States, Hiram Ulysses Grantís (d.1885) autograph is highly prized on multiple levels. Presented is a 5-1/2 x 3Ē Headquarters Army of the United States envelope with a six line note from Grant to a friend. The note mentions that Grant intends to introduce his friend to the gentleman that sold Grant his home in New York.
