The sixth edition of the "midsummer classic" resulted in the National League posting a 4-1 victory against their American League contemporaries. Despite being bested by the senior circuit, the American League still boasted nine players who would later be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The offered 1938 All-Star 22-inch, 9-ounce mini-bat features the painted facsimile signatures of the Americans etched into the barrel and body of the bat. Including the inscribed depictions of Dickey, Gehringer, Averill, Gehrig, Foxx, DiMaggio, Cronin, Greenberg, Ferrell and other non-Hall of Famers, this brown Hillerich & Bradsby bat presents quite well. Despite an abrasion affecting Gehrig's etching, along with a 1" amount of dead wood on the reverse barrel, the remainder of the signatures are unobstructed. With only negligible markings touching the remainder of the bat, this relic proves to be an interesting memento from this time-honored series.
