Description

Firmly ensconced with Cal Ripken Jr. and Brooks Robinson at the helm of Baltimore sports lore, Johnny Unitas defined the quarterback position as a Baltimore Colt. So beloved is this iconic figure, that upon his passing in September 2002, the hometown Ravens petitioned the NFL to re-name M&T Bank Stadium after Unitas. A worthy relic, this single-signed Johnny Unitas OAL Brown baseball is a seldom-seen crossover. Prominently etched across the sweet spot in black ballpoint ink, the crystal clean signature grades a ("10"). The ball itself is also snow-white, with only negligible markings. An attractive heirloom, this piece comes with a COA from James Spence Authentications.
