An example that truly speaks for itself, the highest graded example from arguably the scarcest caramel edition, this 1915 E106 American Caramel Honus Wagner is beyond compare. "The Flying Dutchmen" strides into an unfortunate pitch in the ever popular "batting" pose which has been graded a "5" by PSA. Of the 115 total 1915 E106s to have been graded by the third-party authenticator, a mere eight examples have been graded as highly, none featuring as prominent a player as this charter Class of 1936 member. Appearing at the top of its assigned grade, this card features mostly sharp corners, luminescent coloring, minimally touched edges and a clean back. Revealing only minor surface pointing and negligible frontal toning, this card is an unparalleled beauty. Much attention has been paid to the exploits of the T206 Wagner, yet this gem is as rare if not scarcer than that iconic tobacco card. An instant collection cornerstone, this caramel Wagner is a benchmark representation from one of the game's most beloved players.
