This description has been modified from the printed catalog

Presented is a genuine 1961 Kansas City Athletics game-worn cap produced by Wilson Sporting Goods. This hat is a size 7-1/4 and exhibits heavy game usage from this era. The cap has #27 and “Perez” written in black marker on the underside of the brim. It was most likely worn by a player invited to spring training that never made the team because the A’s did not have a player on the squad named Perez during this period, nor were there any coaches with the surname. The hat has all the known markers and proper stitching for a hat from this era. The Athletics were commonly referred to during this period as the Yankees farm team but this relic is far from second rate.

It has been brought to our attention that this style of hat was only worn by the Athletics in 1961
