Presented is a group of very rare 1960s Venezuelan La Historia del Beisbol (the History of Baseball) stickers. In the same vein as the extremely difficult 1959-1968 Topps Venezuelan baseball cards, these stickers are incredibly difficult to find. The collection includes (83) examples from four different series that combine both the history of American baseball with the game in Latin American countries. Important figures and players include Abner Doubleday, Alexander Cartwright, A.G. Spalding, Henry Chadwick, Abe Lincoln (in a comical rendering playing baseball) and several 19th Century players’ portraits. The cards are on thin paper stock with blank reverses. The backs of the cards, when moistened, become the sticker. The cards are in mid-grade with some better and some lesser.
