Packaged with a single Connie Mack All-Star and a piece of caramel, the 1951 Topps Red Backs were the first contemporary baseball-only issue for the candy manufacturer. Released in two-card vertical panels, the offered 1951 Topps Red Back pairing of long ball artists Kiner and Rosen is a difficult find. This example has been worthily graded a "9" by PSA and exudes intense coloring. Only eight other Kiner/Rosen examples have been graded a "9" with only two achieving Gem Mint status. Being that most kids immediately separated these panels upon receipt, to find such a well-preserved specimen is quite the accomplishment.
