Forever in the shadow of the big bangers from New York, James Emory “Jimmie” Foxx consistently posted mammoth offensive numbers in the American League during the 1930s. Double X won the Triple Crown in 1993 and nearly collecting two other crowns in 1932 and 1938. In an era of sluggers, Foxx was the pacesetter. Known to many as ”the Beast”, it was Lefty Gomez that said of Foxx, “He wasn’t scouted, he was trapped.” Presented is a splendid Jimmie Foxx signed Spalding Little League ball, one of the most coveted single-signed baseballs in the industry. This fantastic relic features one of the strongest sweet spot Foxx signatures ever offered, graded a (“9”) by PSA. The north panel displays an inscription, ”Chuck, Good Luck,” written in the same color ink as the signature. The nearly flawless black ink script of Foxx almost jumps off the baseball and the only visible blemish is a light rubbing on the stitching beneath the sweet spot. This superb sphere has been authenticated by both PSA and James Spence Authentications.
