Upon being released after twenty-two seasons with the Detroit Tigers, it took Ty Cobb less than two weeks to sign with the Philadelphia Athletics. Although Cobb was overshadowed during the 1927 season by Ruth and the exploits of "Murderers Row", he still managed to place near the top of a dozen American League offensive categories. Offered is a 1926-1929 Exhibit Postcards Ty Cobb, one of his few releases as an Athletic. Grading in at (VG) with edge layering and chipping, this olive variation reveals the batsmen during a jaunt at batting practice. The reverse of the postcard is relatively clean but reveals a pair of thumbprints. Crease free and ready to display, this piece makes a worthy addition to any Hall of Fame collection.
