Description

As of August 7, Barry Lamar Bonds is the All-Time Homerun King. Regardless of the controversy that surrounds him and the methods he employed to achieve the homerun record, Bonds has undeniably hit more baseballs out of ballparks than any other Major Leaguer. However, the accomplishment most indicative of Bonds’ baseball prowess, and his record most likely never to be broken, has nothing to do with homeruns. Rather, if Bonds is to be remembered, it should be for the seven MVP Awards he’s accumulated over his twenty-two year career. Seven times Bonds was selected as the best player in the National League, an astounding (4) more any other Major Leaguer in the history of the game. Presented is a Barry Bonds 1994 San Francisco Giants road pro-stock jersey. This authentic Giants garment features the ”SF black on orange double tackle twill logo stitched on the front of the jersey and ”Bonds” and ”#25” on the reverse. Unmistakably Bonds, this jersey is missing the sleeve patches and thus deemed a pro-stock jersey, however the inside tail does have the “94-25” embroidered below the Rawlings size 44 wash tag. The front left breast of the jersey features a large black marker signed by the Home Run King, ”To Ty, Stay Cool, God Bless, Barry Bonds” that grades a solid (“9”). The garment was originally given to a worker from MLB as a gift from Bonds. Presumably used as a batting practice game-ready jersey, the grey relic exhibits moderate signs of perspiration around the neck area. COA from James Spence Authentications. Graded: Mears Pro-Stock.
