Described on the cardís biography as "Baseball's greatest hero and champion home run slugger of the big leagues," offered is a 1926 Sports Company of America Babe Ruth SGC 50. An obscure issue, little was known about the series until twenty years ago when an advertising display linked Sports Company of America with Spalding Sporting Goods. Maintaining a pleasing eye-appeal, this crease-free example reveals minimal corner wear along with minimal edge waer. Released a year before the "Murderers Row" assault on the American League, this smiling Ruth is a preeminent card keepsake.
