Before Ruth, the gold standard of long ball hitters was held by Frank "Home Run" Baker. Although 96 career dingers do not sound like such a feat in modern terms, in the era of cavernous ballparks and the "dead ball", Baker was a titan for his time. A beauteous example of this slugger, presented is a 1910 E96 Philadelphia Caramel PSA 3. Championed by a violet background, this piece appears at the higher-end of the technical grade. With the associated wear, a corner crease, and minor reverse caramel staining, this Maryland native presents extremely well.
