Featuring legends from the teens through the forties, this impressive collection features five scarce boxing signatures of deceased former champions. Four of the signed pieces are 3x5 index cards, accompanied by an upper grade 8x10 second-generation photograph of the depicted boxer. These include Slapsie Maxie Rosenbloom (d.1976, 8), Sammy Mandell (d.1967, 9), Barney Ross (d.1967, 8) and Pete Herman (d.1973, 9). The final portion of the lot presents mammoth heavyweight champion Primo Carnera. Included is a 6x4 signed cut (7-8) and an 8-1/2x11 second-generation photograph. Individually these signatures warrant admiration, though as a grouping the lot is almost worthy of bowing down to. COA from James Spence Authentications.
