Spanning many decades and encompassing the greatest sluggers and hurlers the game has ever known, presented are (14) vintage baseball items and memorabilia. Highlighted by an 1887 Allen & Ginter advertising sheet with eight affixed baseballers, a variety of cards, pins, ephemera and a game are present. The front of the 1887 Allen & Ginter 10x14 cardboard sheet has six advertising baseball cut-outs and two pack released cards including Bennett, Caruthers (pack released), Comiskey, Glasscock (pack released), Keefe, M. Kelly, Mulvey and Ward. Found on the reverse are ten oarsmen (nine cut-out, one pack released) and eight pool players (seven cut-out, one pack released). With an attached 1889 calendar, the residue of the cardboard sheet has a 3x4" chunk removed with moderate surface creasing and layering. Also included are Cards: 1910 T209-2 Contentnea Brent (PR), 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders Baker/Collins (GD-VG), 1938 Dixie Lids Jimmie Foxx (FR), 1949 Bowman #33 Spahn (trimmed), 1949 Bowman #226 Snider RC (GD); Pins: 1910 P2 Sweet Caporal LaPorte (VG-EX), 1910 P2 Sweet Caporal McIntyre (EX); Premiums: (8) 1948-1953 8 x 10" Premiums with Ruth (NM), Cobb (NM), Gehrig (NM) and five entertainers. A 1936 World Series scorecard (EX-MT, slightly marked), 1910s Blaine Township baseball postcard (GD), December 1923 Baseball Magazine with Ruth on the cover (43 pg; VG covers, GD inner pages) and an early game called Fan-Ball (all cards, pieces and board present, GD cover with tear) round out this eclectic group.
