Before Muhammad Ali's conversion to Islam in March of 1964, the brash champion was known as Cassius Clay. As the Louisville native made a name for himself in the boxing ring, his birth name was eventually discarded for good. A difficult variation, presented is a signed 11x14 Cassius Clay photograph. Depicting a defeated Ali in his 1980 "Last Hurrah" against Larry Holmes, the champions original name is scripted in black sharpie, grading a ("10"). As the ravages of Parkinson's have taken its toll, Ali signatures are becoming more difficult to locate. Securing a Cassius Clay variation escalates the scarcity to a new level. This framed piece comes with a COA from James Spence Authentications.
