Description

The enduring image of Sylvester Stallone triumphantly scaling the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Academy Award winning epic "Rocky" captures the essence of the American spirit. As an actor and director of more than 100 films, Stallone has permanently etched his legacy into the fabric of Hollywood. Personal mementos from such icons are elusive, as privacy is paramount to these oft-reclusive stars. Overcoming this challenging task, presented is an authentic Sylvester Stallone worn black full-length leather coat. Commissioned by former wife and prestigious model Brigitte Nielson, acclaimed French designer Jean Claude Jitrois custom-made this coat, sculpting it to Stallone's stout body. The inner left breast reveals a "To Sylvester, Love Gitte" sewn inscription, while the inside manufacturer’s tag reveals the registration number of 3982. Precise workmanship was exercised in incorporating an extended eagle design on the back, which extends to the collar and shoulders of this 52" long coat. Additionally, the shoulders measure 25" each in length while the crafted collar is 24" in width. Utilizing premium grade leather, this coat is accessorized with a belt and shoulder straps. With minimal signs of usage, the "Planet Hollywood" quality piece is an amazing artifact from the man known as "Sly".
